Neue Festival Termine & Call For Films!
Während sich die Berliner Festivalfreunde am Radical Frame Festival und der Transmediale erfreuen, tut sich bei anderen der vielen Berliner Filmfestivals im Vorfeld der Berlinale einiges!
Als Verbindung von Poesie und Film schreibt das 5. ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival (links das neue Poster!) seinen Wettbewerb aus:
Ab jetzt können Poesiefilme eingereicht werden, für das Festival, das von 14. bis 17. Okotber im Kino Babylon stattfinden wird!
Eingereicht werden können Kurzfilme, die auf der Basis eines oder mehrerer Gedichte entstanden sind.
Die Asian Hot Shots verkünden in ihrem greenchilies-blog ihren neuen Festivaltermin: Das asiatische Festival findet nicht wie ursprünglich geplant im April, sondern erst im Oktober statt – und auch nicht mehr im Babylon, sondern im Kreuzberger Moviemento!
Passend zu Herbsttermin haben die Hot Shots auch gleich ihre Einreichefrist bis zum 1. Juli 2010 verlängert!
Nach investigativer Recherche vor Ort sickerte aus gut unterrichteten Quellen durch, dass das Contravision in diesem Jahr am 3. & 4. September und von 10. bis 12. September stattfinden wird.
Selbst auf die Contra-Homepage ist diese Info noch nicht durchgedrungen. Offenbar wird in der neuen Contra-Medienwerkstatt noch immer die Teilnahme von Festival-Direktorin Juliane Engelmann auf der Berlinale gefeiert. Die mit Narben im Beton in der Perspektive Deutsches Kino zu sehen ist.
Auch der neue Termin vom Baltic Film Festival steht fest! Festivalleiterin Gudrun Holz flüsterte uns zu, dass ihre alljährliche, cineastische Reise ins Baltikum in diesem Jahr von 22. bis 28. Oktober stattfinden wird!

Last call – enter now for the 5th ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival
There is still time until 14 June 2010 to enter films for the 5th ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival.
Time is running out – 14 June 2010 is the closing date for entries of poetry films for the 5th ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival. There will be prizes to a total value of 10,000 EUR.
Entries are invited of short films based on a poem and created since 1 January 2007. An international programme commission comprising poets, film-makers and media artists will select the competition entries from the submissions and decide which films will be shown during the festival (full conditions of entry at http://www.literaturwerkstatt.org).
An international jury will select the winners during the 5th ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival. The prizes that will be awarded are the ‘ZEBRA Prize for the Best Poetry Film’, the ‘Film Poetry Prize of the Goethe Institute’ and the ‘Ritter Sport Prize, donated by Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG’. The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival will be taking place from 14-17 October 2010 in the Babylon Cinema in Berlin.
The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival has established itself as an international forum for short films that deal with poems either aesthetically or in terms of their content or their form. It offers film-makers from all over the world the opportunity to exchange ideas and consolidate a basis for future work.
The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival is a project of the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin in cooperation with interfilm Berlin and with the financial assistance, for which we are grateful, of the Hauptstadtkulturfonds. The prizes have been donated by the Goethe Institute, Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG, the Deutsche Literaturfonds e.V. and Cine Impuls. It is taking place under the aegis of the poesiefestival berlin.
